Managing fire risk in education facilities

Education leaders have long viewed fires as a significant threat to their institutions, and to the health and wellbeing of students and staff.

Even when a fire does not pose a serious threat to staff and students, it can still destroy facilities and equipment, potentially resulting in an institution having to close for a prolonged period, and being forced to find alternative premises.

This often results in disruption for students and there can be significant costs involved in making alternative facilities fit for purpose within a short time frame.
