Our Motor Engineering Unit is changing

Insurers are seeing an increase in technology-based solutions to service customers. To make sure that Zurich stays ahead of this trend, we made the decision to explore alternative options for our Motor Engineering Unit and to change our approach to the management of the approved repair contracts.

Zurich has been spending time searching for a partner that we feel would provide a good fit with the Zurich customer base; one that had a strong technical ethos, was committed to investing in its people and developing the new technology required to keep pace with the market.

Control Expert GmbH (CE), which has recently moved into the UK market, is active in 15 locations across four continents and employs over 700 employees globally. CE is a technology-based engineering business that seamlessly blends artificial and human intelligence to drive better, faster and more accurate outcomes.

CE’s vast claims database helps to create robust models to drive automation, speed and efficiency into the motor claim journey for customers. Its core products and services centre on advanced triage and digital engineering.

From 1 October 2018, Control Expert commenced provision of our motor engineer services. From a day-to-day operational perspective, you will not see any immediate changes to the process. Over a period of time, you will begin to see a positive difference as we introduce technological solutions to advance the motor engineer offering.
