Success through synergy: key issues for 2017

  • ‘Success through synergy’ considers the possibility of new opportunities, with a focus on working in partnership
  • 42% of customers that attended our Risk & Insurance Forums considered transformation and restructuring to be the biggest challenge they faced
  • However, a need to transform for efficiencies could facilitate increased partnerships between organisations, driving innovative solutions for the future

In 2017, Zurich Municipal is focussing on a collaborative approach to new opportunities, and will be looking at this through the lens of synergy.

We will examine how you work in partnership with other organisations to maximise best practice and skill sharing, and also how we can work more collaboratively with you, to best protect the communities we all serve now and in the future.

Zurich Municipal discussed the ‘Success through synergy’ theme at our Risk & Insurance Forums, which took place from November 2016 – January 2017. Please watch our video, which articulates synergy in practice and reflects on how we have worked in collaboration with our customers to best serve their needs:

Synergy maximises best practice and facilitates skill sharing. These outputs enable us all to learn and help one another when considering some of the biggest challenges we all face, particularly during a time when the market is operating in a climate of economic austerity.

Budget cuts result in a change in objectives and strategies, with operating models required to adapt to align with the market. Poignantly, 42% of customers that attended our Risk & Insurance Forums considered transformation and restructuring to be the biggest challenge they faced. However, a need to transform for efficiencies could facilitate increased partnerships between organisations, driving innovative solutions for the future.

With 21% of customers stating that they are taking ‘quite a lot’ more risk in their activities, we have provided some useful downloadable content on three areas to help you manage your own risks:
