Zurich donates 1,800 facemasks to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance
This week, the Wiltshire Air Ambulance put out a plea as they were running short of supplies. Zurich were more than happy to help, donating 1,800 facemasks from our provision stores. Zurich’s Chief Operation Officer, John Keppel, headed down to the airfield personally to ensure the facemasks were delivered swiftly and safely.
The facemasks had been in safe storage after being bulk-purchased a few years ago (yes, they’re in date and safe for use!), and the Wiltshire team will be distributing them locally to other air ambulance services.
John said, “It’s great to be able to support this important service. It’s so important that we do whatever we can to help those who are keeping us safe and well.”
“The masks are essential to keeping our service running, especially considering the current situation so thank you all for your support”, said Adam Baker from the Wiltshire Air Ambulance service.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance is operational for up to 19 hours a day, 365 days a year, and is funded by donations. More information on the Wiltshire Air Ambulance can be found here.
Thanks to all air ambulance and emergency service operations out there doing great work during these difficult times.
