Zurich Municipal and Zurich Community Trust launch an exciting new charity initiative
- This year Zurich Municipal has teamed up with Zurich Community Trust to support Dementia UK and Place2Be
- This charitable initiative will be promoted by Zurich Municipal at six high profile partnership conferences
- Zurich Municipal will also promote the work of the two charities at smaller events throughout the year
As a holistic insurance provider, Zurich always looks for new ways to collaborate and innovate within the way we work.
This year, Zurich Municipal has teamed up with Zurich Community Trust to support Dementia UK, who provide specialist dementia support for families, and Place2Be, the leading UK provider of school-based mental health counselling in primary and secondary schools.
The joint initiative will be promoted by Zurich Municipal at six high-profile partnership conferences throughout 2019, with Zurich Community Trust donating £4,000 per event, which will be split between Dementia UK and Place2Be.
Who decides how the donations are split?
Attendees of the conferences will be given a postcard with a token attached, explaining who the charities are, and how Zurich Community Trust works with them. They will then be invited to visit the Zurich Municipal stand to deposit the token in their preferred charity donation box. At the end of the year, Zurich Municipal and Zurich Community Trust will split the total pot across both charities, based on the split between the tokens.
With six high profile events this year, Zurich Community Trust will be donating a total of £24,000 between these two fantastic charities, with our partners and customers also learning about and contributing to the deep partnerships we have with both.
How does Zurich Municipal continue to support the charities throughout the year?
For smaller events where Zurich Municipal exhibits, we have replaced our standard ‘giveaways’ with branded earphones. For each set given away, Zurich Municipal will donate £1 to Dementia UK and Place2Be, which will be added to the final donation pot at the end of the year.
By reducing the amount of branded items that we give away at conferences, and using a token system that can be recycled for each event, we are heavily reducing the waste we produce as a company, while raising awareness for two fantastic charities throughout the year.
